Revamped India and Russia Relations

Recently India's foreign minister S.Jaishankar met the Russian president Putin shedding the myth of strained relations between countries .

  • The meeting amidst the recent Russia- Ukrain conflict and Russia's  growing freindship with china comes as a ray of hope for revamping Indias relations with Russia.
  • Meeting also significant given that Prime Minister Modi has not attended the annual summit , an unscathed convention since 2000-2021.
while India and Russia have been working multifaceted projects like Kudankulam power plant ,trade,connectivity etc , this recent visit of Indian foreign minister would help clear the clouds of rumours of strained relations between the countries and would give India a new path to trod in the upcoming yeas with an old freind.
